Online we use Attraction Marketing to attract leads to us rather than the outdated methods of contacting our family and friends. Mike Dillard has written a very good book explaining about Attraction Marketing, called Magnetic Sponsoring, which you really need to read if you want to market online. Mike will explain to you the whole concept of Attraction Marketing, so you can understand how to position yourself.
The very basic thing which you should do in order to market your MLM online is to develop your own brand. Those who fail to do this and start to pitch their business to everyone they know and plaster pictures of their juice all over will end up with very few friends on the social sites. People hate being sold to, but they love to buy. They just want the freedom to choose what they buy.
In order to create your own brand, you first need to let go of whatever you have been taught in MLM offline! This may sound strange or uncomfortable at first; you may want to hide behind your brand. You will soon find however, the everyone online, irrespective of age or gender markets themselves. People will only buy from people whom they like and feel comfortable with. So you need to be seen and you need to connect with people.
The way to do that is to be valuable to people. Instead of offering them your opportunity, you should offer them help. Try to always give value. What you can offer them, is information. As you start to learn about marketing on the internet, you share it with others. This starts to brand you as a leader or a trainer. Also, if you write an article or do a video on the subject, you are going over the subject again, which helps you to remember it.
When you choose a domain name for your website, you need to remember that it needs to be part of your brand. For your main website you need to have your brand, preferably with MLM somewhere in it. For instance, mine is PrimeMLMTraffic. You need to put some thought and perhaps some research into the name, and see what is available.
For your blog, most people use their own name. Of course if you have a popular name this may not be possible. In this case you would add something to it, such as WhoIs….. or WorkWith…. You need to get your name out there as much as possible, so think about every site (such as Facebook or Twitter) you join and try to incorporate your name in your site name.
You will then be slowly branding YOURSELF!
